This recording captures the band’s performance at the Stuttgart Jazz Festival in Germany on July 11th during the 1988 Euro Tour, coupled with audio and video mastering in 2025. The performance features a stereo soundboard recording from the FM on-air master and pro-shot footage from local TV broadcasts. The audio is nearly complete, spanning approximately 82 minutes, while the video, though only 50 minutes long, is of the highest quality thanks to the master’s noise reduction and pitch adjustments. The performance, reminiscent of the legendary Montreux Jazz Festival four days earlier, is filled with a funk-infused atmosphere, while the band’s overall sound is incredibly sharp. Foley’s guitar and Ricky’s drums, in particular, epitomize the groove of this period, delivering a sharp and incisive performance throughout.
