Description
A 6-disc set has been released to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the live performance, which will amaze enthusiasts, and was the first to digitally transfer and record the first generation master source provided by the taper (recorder) for the three consecutive nights of the main event of the Spring Concert that started in April 1982 at Hammersmith Odeon in London. First of all, the sound source on the first day, April 20th, is recorded as a sound source that was picked up and remastered from the live video broadcast by the British national broadcasting BBC. Looking back, it was released as “Moonlight Shadow” more than 20 years ago and shocked the world. Now, the hiss noise has been reduced and you can listen to it with such vivid quality. Now, the important thing is the sound source on the 21st, the second day, and the 22nd, the third day. This time, we are using the original master tape provided by Simon Shepherd, who is known for recording the sound source at the venue, through an intermediary. It is no exaggeration to say that it was a miracle that we were able to record such a sound at that large Hammersmith Odeon. In addition, since it is an original master, no editing has been added, so you can enjoy the original sound quality of the master tape. Furthermore, disc 6 is a DVD that allows you to watch the live performance on the 20th, which was broadcast on BBC, in the best quality available. Here is a summary of the 1982 Spring Concert.
