Description
The Sapporo performance from the 1983 Japan tour has been upgraded. It is listed as a soundboard sound source, but the actual situation is unknown. However, it is certain that the sound quality is at a level where it is “unclear” whether it is a soundboard sound source or an audience sound source. The hiss is a little strong, but even with this, the noise reduction is quite strong. On this tour, the main guitarist Mike Stern was not in good health (rumored to be due to the influence of drugs), and Miles, concerned about this, brought John Scofield along as insurance. Oddly enough, this was a rare time when Stern and John Scofield were in the form of twin guitars. It is a complete recording from the band warm-up immediately after the start of the show.
