A high-quality soundboard recording of Michel Petrucciani’s 1988 performance in Karlsruhe, Germany, by his trio with Gary Peacock and Roy Haynes! Despite suffering from congenital osteogenesis imperfecta, which is said to have a life expectancy of about 20 years, Michel Petrucciani (1962-1999) became a successful pianist and the first Frenchman to sign with the prestigious jazz label Blue Note. The live recording to be released is a live recording from the cultural center Jubez on July 7, 1988, unearthed from the archives of SWR (Southwest German Broadcasting). This is a valuable recording from a tour with Gary Peacock (B) and Roy Haynes (Dr), who were in charge of the rhythm section for the first five songs of the second album “Michel Plays Petrucciani” (1988) on Blue Note, where you can listen to his own compositions and jazz standards.
