Description

From the third Japan tour accompanying “Built To Destroy” in 1984, the Shibuya Public Hall performance on January 21st and the Budokan performance on the 23rd are both recorded as complete master quality audience recordings. Both performances were recorded directly from the original master cassette that first appeared, and both were captured at an excellent level for this era, and the whole thing was a perfect listen. In particular, the sound source on the 21st will have fans going crazy with the clarity of Captain Nemo’s guitar at the beginning. Also, while the overall sound image feels a little congested, the point is that each part can be heard clearly. And the Budokan performance has a wider and smarter sound image, and the drums are well recorded as well as the guitar, so the sound is distinctive. The volume of the musical sound is thicker on the 21st and recorded directly and firmly, and on the other hand, although the distance from the stage is felt a little on the 23rd, the overall balance is good and it is more complete and excellent. After a long tour, the cohesiveness of the performance seems to have reached its peak, and this nostalgic 1984 live document shows a really high-quality performance, including Michael’s guitar play on every song.
