Description
M.S.G.’s January 1984 Japan tour started with the Yokohama performance on January 11th and ended with the Nagoya performance on January 27th, with a total of 12 performances. Among them, the live performance at Tokyo’s Nippon Budokan held on January 23rd, the 10th performance, can be called the climax. The CD title “THE MOVING ELEMENT” is known as a standard at this live show, but this work is highly praised among avid Schenker enthusiasts as having “a sound that is even more realistic.” “NAUTILUS UNDER WAY”. We have decided to release this famous recording for all fans to enjoy! This work was released about 8 years ago at this Budokan, such as GARY MOORE’s “PRAY FOR VICTIMS” and DEEP PURPLE’s “THRILL OF THE CHASE” (this title is the definitive version of Purple’s 1985 Japan performance). Recorded by a famous taper who left many definitive sound sources. This work, which was made directly from the original cassette master, has the same wonderful sound as the masterpiece mentioned above. There was also a 4-disc set of “DESTROYED CAPITAL” as a previous release at this live. However, the sound image that completely encompasses the wonderful clarity and visibility of this recording, the musical tones, and the excitement in the venue is best described as “another dimension.” Because the sound is too active, the cheers and clapping around the taper are captured very vividly, but this is also evidence that “all the sounds ringing in the venue” are recorded in ultra clear. For enthusiasts who want to experience the excitement of the venue, a sound like this one would be ideal. We would like you to turn up the volume through the speakers and experience the feeling of being part of the audience! From the opening where the audience in the venue shows enthusiastic excitement, the dramatic opening of “Captain Nemo” and “Rock My Nights Away” will make all listeners fully enjoy the dynamism of hard rock. Michael’s guitar, which reaches the listener as if to penetrate through the enthusiastic applause, is even moving. Gary Burden’s vocals are also in good shape. In “Are You Ready To Rock”, Gary’s singing and the audience’s chorus in the chorus harmonize perfectly, creating a live performance at the entire venue! Furthermore, Chris Glenn and Ted McKenna’s strong rhythm in the intro of “Cry For The Nations” and Andy Nye’s keyboard in the new song part that flows from “Rock Will Never Die” to “Still Love That Little Devil” are also worth listening to. ! Every listener will be unable to hold back their excitement as each musical note stands out clearly and the overall balance is impeccable! “Into The Arena” brings the excitement in the venue to a boiling point, while “Courvoisier Concerto” and “Lost Horizons” produce the ultimate excitement with the clapping of the audience in the venue. Don’t miss listening to the catchy “I’m Gonna Make You Mine” and “Systems Failing” from the new album. “Armed And Ready”, where the live momentum reaches its peak, and “Rock Bottom”, where Michael’s long solo explodes, will knock out any listener! This recording will let you listen to Schenker’s live performance in 1984, when his popularity was at its peak, with overwhelming persuasiveness and emotion! As I mentioned in the introduction, there are points in this album that could be negative depending on the scene, such as “the audience’s voice is a little loud” and “the applause doesn’t stop”. However, the greatness and deliciousness of this recording lies in the places where fleeting musical moments (and those everywhere) flash through those enthusiastic climaxes! A “raw” enthusiasm that can’t be experienced even in “THE MOVING ELEMENT”, which mainly features band sounds!!Live at Budokan, Tokyo, Japan 23rd January 1984 TRULY PERFECT SOUND (from Original Masters) Disc 1 1.
