Description
In 1988, the world tour was held in Trento, Italy on April 11th following the release of the masterpiece “Don’t Try This at Home,” which won the Grammy Award for “Best Jazz Instrumental Solo.” The sound source of a live performance performed at a jazz festival that was recorded by a person involved for monitoring on a PA desk was stolen by someone, and the sound source was passed around and appeared in front of you as this title. The first thing that surprises me is the backing members who support Michael: Gimmick Goodrick, who participated in many of Gary Burton’s works in the early 70’s and was a teacher at Berklee College of Music for a long time, and Wynton on bass. – Charnette Moffett, who honed her career with Marsalis, Tony Williams, Sadao Watanabe, and the Manhattan Jazz Quintet, released a leader album on the prestigious Blue Note in 1987, and the great Steve Gadd on drums, making him truly the strongest. It is no exaggeration to say that we are a quartet. Even more surprisingly, the famous song “Watching the River Flow” by Bob Dylan, which was also covered by the Gad Gang, was played at the end of the live performance that day, and the soundboard sound source of this song has not yet been officially released. It has not been recorded, and in that sense it is an extremely rare sound source. By the way, the “Milan 1988” we are selling will be performed the day after this live performance.
