Metallica/Live without Lars England, UK 2004

A collector’s CD containing a superb soundboard recording of a live performance at the “Download Festival” held at Castle Donington in England on June 6, 2004, when Lars was unable to play due to poor health. Dave Lombardo (SLAYER etc.) and Joey Jordison (SLIPKNOT) took over for Lars, and despite the sudden help, they played strongly. It’s funny that there are some small mistakes, probably because I don’t remember the songs completely. A lot of things have been said about Lars’ playing, but you should never say that his drumming that day was better than Lars’s. Contains 13 songs.
