Description
Ozzy Osbourne’s final concert, “BACK TO THE BEGINNING”, which has been the talk of the world. The best professional shots of both heroes who appeared at the event have been decided to be released. This work was, of course, filmed at the “Villa Park performance on July 5, 2025”. This is a multi-camera professional shot. On the day, 18 bands performed in a festival format, and it was a long event of about 9 and a half hours. The fact that the entire show was distributed for a fee also became a hot topic, but this work is a recording of the stage of GUNS N’ ROSES and METALLICA, who appeared before Ozzy. This show is also the biggest music event in 2025, and various masters are erupting at this moment. Some of the footage is shoddy and compressed, but this work is the highest version that has been made into a DVD from the best master (at the moment). In fact, the quality can only be called “completely official class”. The mix feels rough, like a live broadcast, but the image quality and sound quality are perfect. The camera work is also elaborate, and I don’t know how many cameras are being used. It’s a cutting-edge concert video of 2025. First half: GUNS N’ ROSES (6 songs) First up is GUNS N’ ROSES. With 18 bands performing in just one day, most bands only had about 15 minutes, but GUNS N’ ROSES is in a class of their own. It was about 30 minutes long, second only to Ozzy and BLACK SABBATH. And the content was also super special. After all, GUNS N’ ROSES on this day was a special formation. Keyboardist (Dizzy Reed/Melissa Reed) was absent. It was the first time in 35 years since 1990 that they performed as a five-person formation. Even more special was the set list. At this event, all the performers covered one song by Ozzy or BLACK SABBATH, but GUNS N’ ROSES performed four songs. Moreover, the selection was super cool, including “It’s Alright,” “Never Say Die,” “Junior’s Eyes,” and “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath,” and the four songs other than “It’s Alright” were the world premiere. The biggest highlight of the day was Ozzy himself, who was on the last stage, but the most special guest was undoubtedly GUNS N’ ROSES. METALLICA Edition (6 songs) METALLICA performed just before Ozzy in a 35-minute slot that even exceeded GUNS N’ ROSES. Not only are they big names, but it was Ozzy who gave them the opportunity to break through by using them as an opening act during the “MASTER OF PUPPETS” era. Current bassist Robert Trujillo was also a former member of Ozzy’s band, so they have a deep relationship. The covers they chose were “Hole in the Sky” and “Johnny Blade.” The former was the first in 16 years since 2009, and the latter was the world premiere. In particular, “Johnny Blade” is not only a maniac, but the performance is so familiar that it’s hard to believe it’s the first time it’s been released. The selection and arrangement are well-thought-out, and it’s a masterpiece that shows off METALLICA’s skills as a cover artist. “BACK TO THE BEGINNING” is a gathering of many stars to celebrate the stage life of the great Ozzy Osbourne. This is a full recording of two groups that can be said to be the supporting actors. This is a disc that gives you a clear sense of the significance and scale of this very special event. A superb professional shot of Ozzy’s last concert has been released. This is an official DVD-quality product made from the best masters, and you can enjoy all the songs played on the day, including the extremely rare Sabbath cover.
