Description

Ozzy Osbourne’s final concert, “BACK TO THE BEGINNING,” has captured worldwide attention. The release of these exquisite professional shots of the two heroes who appeared at the event has been confirmed. This work was, of course, filmed at the Villa Park performance on July 5, 2025. It’s a multi-camera professional shot. The event featured 18 bands in a festival format, spanning approximately nine and a half hours. The entire event was also a hot topic when it was made available for paid streaming. This work features footage of Guns N’ Roses and Metallica, who performed before Ozzy. This show was the biggest music event of 2025, and various masters are still being produced. While some of the footage is poorly compressed and shabby, this is the highest-quality DVD version (currently available) from the best masters. In fact, the quality can only be described as “fully official.” While the mix feels a bit rough, typical of a livestream, the picture and sound quality are perfect. The camerawork is elaborate, and it’s hard to tell how many cameras were used. This is truly cutting-edge concert footage from 2025. First Half: GUNS N’ ROSES (6 songs). First up is GUNS N’ ROSES. With 18 bands performing in just one day, most bands only had about 15 minutes, but GUNS N’ ROSES were in a league of their own. They played about 30 minutes, second only to Ozzy Osbourne and BLACK SABBATH. And the content was also incredibly special. GUNS N’ ROSES performed in a special lineup on this day, without keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Melissa Leeds. This was their first time performing as a five-piece band in 35 years, since 1990. What’s even more special is the setlist. While every performer at this event covers at least one song by Ozzy Osbourne or BLACK SABBATH, GUNS N’ ROSES performed an astounding four. What’s more, the selection was incredibly cool, including “It’s Alright,” “Never Say Die,” “Junior’s Eyes,” and “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath,” with the bonus of four songs other than “It’s Alright” being world premieres. While the biggest highlight of the day was Ozzy Osbourne’s final performance, the most special guest was undoubtedly Guns N’ Roses. METALLICA (6 songs): Preceding Ozzy Osbourne in a 35-minute slot that even surpassed Guns N’ Roses, Metallica performed. Not only are they a major name, but it was Ozzy Osbourne who gave them their breakthrough by opening for them during his “Master of Puppets” days. Current bassist Robert Trujillo was also a former member of Ozzy Osbourne’s band, so the band shares a deep connection. Their cover choices included “Hole in the Sky” and “Johnny Blade.” The former was the band’s first performance in 16 years, since 2009, and the latter was their world premiere. “Johnny Blade” in particular is not just a nerd favorite; its familiarity, almost like a signature song, makes it hard to believe it’s being performed for the first time. The selection and arrangement are ingenious, making this a truly outstanding performance that truly showcases METALLICA’s reputation for cover mastery. “BACK TO THE BEGINNING” brought together a multitude of stars to celebrate the life of the legendary Ozzy Osbourne. This disc features the full performances of two of the band’s most important acts. It succinctly captures the significance and scale of this extraordinary event. This release features the finest professional shots of Ozzy’s final concert. This official DVD release, compiled from the best masters, features every track performed that day, including an extremely rare Sabbath cover.
