Description

Following METALLICA, the legendary MEGADETH, who brought thrash metal to the Far East, came to Japan for the first time. A live album vacuum-packed from that historic scene has been decided to be released. This work is recorded at the “April 6, 1987 Osaka Welfare Pension Hall” performance. It is a superb audience recording. Their first visit to Japan was a major event in the history of Japanese metal. Our shop has archived many masterpieces. First of all, let’s look back at the schedule at that time, including organizing the collection. ・April 2nd “‘DETH’S COMING” ・April 3rd “‘DETH’S COMING” “SHIBUYA 1987 2ND NIGHT” ・April 4th “NAGOYA 1987” ・April 6th: Osaka Welfare Pension Hall ←★This work★ All four performances. You can experience everything in our collection, and the Osaka performance in this work is the final one. And the quality of this work is also excellent. It is a superb sound with a strong and clear sound. As expected, it is not as thick and meaty as “NAGOYA 1987”, but it is a so-called audience-like audience sound. However, this work is not inferior in terms of clarity, and even the grains of each bass drum hit are beautifully captured. Depending on your taste, it is not surprising to think that this is the No. 1 album in Japan for the first time, even surpassing “NAGOYA 1987”. The sound alone is special, but the true value of this work is even more than that. In fact, it is truly regarded as “the best masterpiece of the first visit to Japan”. The reason for this is the longest show, which is the longest even for the first visit to Japan. The Nagoya performance also boasted a length longer than Tokyo, but this work is even longer. Let’s take a look at the full set here. Killing Is My Business (8 songs) Rattlehead / Killing Is My Business… And Business Is Good! / Chosen Ones / Looking Down The Cross (★) / These Boots / Mechanix / Last Rites / Loved To Death / The Skull Beneath The Skin Peace Sells (7 songs) Wake Up Dead / The Conjuring / Bad Omen / My Last Words / Peace Sells / Devils Island / Good Mourning / Black Friday *Note: The ★ mark indicates a song that cannot be heard on the masterpiece “NAGOYA 1987”. …And so on. Even “Looking Down The Cross”, which has not been performed up to this point, is featured, and all the songs from the masterpiece “KILLING IS MY BUSINESS” are performed. Moreover, there are no replacements, and the “PEACE SELLS” numbers are not cut. As a result, they played all of their repertoire in one show, except for the Willie Dixon cover “I Ain’t Superstitious”. In addition to the songs, they also added more Japanese repertoire, and before “Devils Island” you can hear the legendary MC “Crazy Audience”. Anyway, this super-generous behavior is unparalleled worldwide. During this first visit to Japan, Dave Mustaine was recorded in a very good mood in various places, and his good mood led to more and more songs… Such a great mood is perfect. Of course, even though it was a long show, he didn’t show any signs of fatigue. After all, Mustaine was 25 years old (!) at that time, and David Ellefson was 22 (!!). Moreover, he had just recovered from jet lag, and had even taken a day off the day before (April 5th). This album also features super-tempo intellectual thrash that far exceeds the studio recording, but it is the perfect final day with all the preparations in place. This is the last album to complete the first visit to Japan collection, and at the same time, it is a masterpiece album that allows you to enjoy the longest full show. This is a live album that is too valuable even from a global perspective, and a two-disc set that is the ultimate for Japanese metallers. A live album of the best show from the legendary first visit to Japan has been released. You can fully experience the longest show, where all repertoire except “I Ain’t Superstitious” is played out of the two albums “KILLING IS MY BUSINESS” and “PEACE SELLS”, with the best sound.
