A rare live performance of Max Roach, who sent out a strong message against racism, performing all the songs from the album “We Insist! Freedom Now Suite” featuring Abbey Lincoln. Recorded on a soundboard from a live performance held at the Palais des Beaux Arts in Brussels, Belgium in January 1964. The bonus DVD includes a 30-minute color version of the TV appearance on January 10th, which is the first to be released. Clifford Jordan joins on saxophone in place of Coleman Hawkins.
