Description
Not only was the album a huge hit, but the “TRACKER Tour” was also one of the biggest tours of the last decade. This video masterpiece gives you the ultimate experience of the scene. This work contains two types of audience shots produced by overseas enthusiasts. This is a two-disc set with multi-camera footage of the “June 2nd + 3rd 2015 Paris performance” on DISC 1 and full footage of the “July 18th Padova performance” on DISC 2. The original recording of the same tour, “ROYAL ALBERT HALL 2015”, will also be released at the same time, so let’s first understand each position from the schedule at that time. {TRACKER released on March 16th}・March 25th + 27th: Europe #1 (2 shows)・April 15th: Amsterdam show・May 12th-26th: UK (10 shows) ←※ROYAL ALBERT HALL 2015・May 28th-June 21st: Europe #2 (19 shows) ←★DISC 1★・July 4th-31st: Europe #3 (21 shows) ←★DISC 2★・September 10th-October 31st: North America (38 shows)This is Mark Knopfler in 2015. The tour started in his native England, but then moved on to continental Europe. The Paris show was the 5th and 6th shows of the first half of “Europe #2”, and the Padova show was the 12th show of the second half of “Europe #3”. The two types of footage recorded at such a show have completely different personalities. Let’s introduce them individually. [DISC 1: Multi-camera footage assembled from two days in Paris] First up is the multi-camera edited work that has become popular recently. The Paris performances were held at the same venue for two consecutive nights, and various audience shots from both performances have been assembled. Some songs are almost all one-camera, but the various angles change one after another, making it a video work that you will not get bored of by changing the viewpoint. Therefore, it is not possible to say “the angle is ○○” or “the distance is ◇◇”, but overall it is a spectacular view. There are no obstructions and the scene continues endlessly with almost no camera shake. That is also the best part of multi-camera work. People tend to pay attention to the dynamism of the switching, which changes the viewpoint dramatically, but in fact, it is delicious to be able to cut out the “failed scenes” of each video. The camera work fails and the solo is missed, or the frame goes out when you turn quickly, or you manage to catch up but it becomes blurry… Such moments can be omitted. In fact, the editing policy of this work is more like “showing good cuts carefully” than “switching rapidly”. You can enjoy the pleasure of watching only well-shot scenes. And when it comes to multi-camera works, the sound is also important. This is already super powerful. It’s like a sound board…or rather, this is already a sound board. After all, the official sound boards of almost all performances of the “TRACKER Tour” were sold for download. Although the mania who produced it has not been made public, it is believed that the official sound board is used. [DISC 2: Full video that allows you to experience the Padova performance from a super special seat] DISC 2 is a masterpiece video with a dazzling super-realistic feeling, which is the exact opposite. DISC 1 was assembled from various materials, but this was recorded in one shot with one camera. It is a shot of the audience right in the middle of the road. However, the quality surpasses DISC 1. The image quality, sound quality, angle… everything is intense. The angle is slightly to the left of the stage, probably the front row. There are no customers in front of you, and the angle from which you look up at Mark is like the front row…or rather, it feels like one angle of a professional shot taken from the camera pit. However, the camerawork does not give the impression of a professional shot at all. Mark, standing in front of the microphone, is in the center of the screen and hardly moves. Of course, it follows Mark when he walks around, and sometimes moves during each member’s solo. However, it does not create dynamism with zoom or the movement of the camera itself. It is just a video that feels like it is staring at Mark. You might think it looks boring, but that is not the case because of the intense beauty and stability of the video. The more the camerawork moves, the more flashy it becomes, but this photographer is not bound by such “desire” and has abandoned the “vanity” of showing off his skills and good seats. The beauty of the video is irresistible because it is simply a professional pursuit of stability. And it is because of such footage that you can feel the “sense of experience” so strongly. If you are at the show, there is no acrobatic change of perspective, and you will be able to immerse yourself in the wonderful performance while staring at the main character, Mark. This video realizes that “experience” with the highest quality. Moreover, the audio is also super realistic audience sound. DISC 1 was (probably) the official sound board, but it is so superb that you can watch it continuously. It is extremely clear and direct, but it gives you a natural experience that is absolutely impossible with a sound board. Although multi-camera works tend to be more popular these days, I would strongly recommend this one, which condenses the “taste that only an audience can have”. It is such a masterpiece video. The two videos, which are both extreme in personality, depict the full show of the wonderful “TRACKER Tour”. The sets are also different, so let’s organize them at the end. Songs common to both days: 1980s: Sultans Of Swing / Romeo & Juliet / Telegraph Road / So Far Away / Going Home; 2000 and after: Speedway at Nazareth / Hill Farmer’s Blues / Marbletown / Corned Beef City / Privateering / Broken Bones; Songs only from the Paris performance (DISC 1): Our Shangri-La / Kingdom Of Gold / I Used To Could / Skydiver / Mighty Man / Wherever I Go; Songs only from the Padova performance (DISC 2): Your Latest Trick / Father and Son / She’s Gone / Postcards From Paraguay / Haul Away; DISC 1 is a multi-camera video carefully created by overseas enthusiasts, and DISC 2 embodies the taste of a once-in-a-lifetime audience shot with the highest quality. Both are masterpieces of concert footage that can only be enjoyed in modern times. Le Zénith, Paris, France 2nd & 3rd June 2015 AMAZING SHOT!!!
