Originally studying classical music, she entered the world of jazz at the age of 28, inspired by Coltrane’s “Supreme Love,” and loved Cecil Taylor and Bill Evans at the same time, as well as female versions of Paul Bley and Keith Jarrett. A 2-disc set containing 2 performances of the finest high-quality soundboard by the famous pianist Marilyn. First of all, the first disc contains a spectacular improvisation duo live performance with drummer Jerry Hemingway in Oakland in 1995. The second disc includes a live performance in Utrecht in 1999 by the trio with Gary Peacock and Paul Motian.
