This comprehensive collection, totaling approximately 333 minutes, captures powerful band performances from different eras, primarily from stages in Germany, France, Switzerland, and Spain. It includes representative tracks such as “Tutu,” “Jean Pierre,” “Blast,” “Panther,” “Hannibal,” “Goree,” and “Splatch,” as well as “Higher Ground” and “Come Together.” You can fully enjoy Marcus Miller’s overwhelming musical prowess, his heavy grooves, and his interplay with bands at each stage of his career, as he effortlessly manipulates both electric bass and bass clarinet. This 4-disc set condenses approximately seven years of Marcus Miller’s live activity from 2005 to 2012. A must-see professional video collection for Marcus Miller fans, as well as jazz-funk, fusion, and bass fans! Details of each disc are listed below as they were at the time of release. Disc 1 features a professional recording of the March 16, 2012 concert in Germany. Marcus, who released his first studio album in five years, “Renaissance,” in the summer of 2012, is featured in this live performance with the young elite musicians who participated in the new album. They play songs from the new album even before its release, and another new song is played in the middle of the set. It’s a very lively and enjoyable performance to watch. He plays his signature bass clarinet with apparent enjoyment, and Marcus is in perfect groove. After the climax, “TUTU,” the audience rises to their feet. Perhaps pleased by this standing ovation, he gives two encores! The running time is 90 minutes. Wackerhalle, Burghausen, Germany 3.16.2012 MR.
