Description

The Mahavishnu Orchestra is a jazz-rock unit formed by John McLaughlin to incorporate the jazz-rock elements he learned under Miles into his own form. This is a soundboard live collection with the original members. Compared to Electric Miles, there is a strong religious tone, and the big difference is that there is a violin. Keyboard player Jan Hammer, who would later be used by Jeff Beck and Santana, and Billy Cobham, whose hi-hats are amazing with many moves, are on board. This item is coupled with a live performance in 1972, and their most famous song, “Phoenix”, which is also the title song of their second album, is played.
