Description
Living Colour’s 1990 album “Time’s Up” was a concept album featuring Doug E. Fresh, Maceo Barker, Little Richard, and others. It reached number 13 and won the Grammy for Best Hard Rock Performance for the second time. The DVD includes a Canadian TV broadcast from that tour titled Live Pride in 1991. Vernon Reid’s genius songwriting and guitar, and Doug Wimbish’s slap bass groove, which was the best, left the band in 1992, so it’s nice to be able to enjoy their playing on video. Corey Glover’s vocals are somewhat reminiscent of Terence Trent D’Arby. Will Calhoun’s outstanding drumming is also worth listening to. This is a professional shot DVD of the band at the height of their power, featuring songs from “Time’s Up” as well as the hit song Cult of Personality and other songs from their first major albums.
