Description
Formed in Los Angeles in 1969 by Lowell George and Roy Estrada, who were members of Zappa & the Mothers. In 1971, before releasing their debut album, the studio sessions and rehearsal recordings taken before recording were compiled in master quality and soundboard recordings by those involved. In the early days, the band was active with the four original members, and this is a valuable documentary gem that gives a glimpse of their unique musicality based on American roots music throughout the album. As a bonus, one live recording from Texas during the same period is also included. 01. No Whispering!/02. Crazy Captain Gunboat Willie / No Whispering!/03. talk/04. Cat Fever/05. Strawberry Flats/06.
