Description
The collaboration album by Manchester’s dream team Liam Gallagher and John Squire, which will be the biggest topic of the UK rock scene in 2024, naturally won first place in the UK charts as soon as it was released in March. And from the UK tour that started on March 13th, the London performance on the 26th was recorded in full for one hour from the ear monitor source used by Liam and the band members on the day. First, the stereo IEM source used by the members on stage during the live performance was recorded with adjustment, and although there are some parts where guide clicks and reception noise are mixed in, the mix highlights the direct feeling of Liam’s vocals and Squire’s guitar, so in that respect, the performance of the day is reproduced with quality comparable to a stereo sound board. It is said that this collaboration started when John Squire joined Liam on stage at Knebworth Park to perform “Champagne Supernova”, and the set of the two live shows did not include any of their own repertoires, starting with the previously released “Just Another Rainbow”, then playing all the songs from the album, and finishing with the Stones’ “Jumping Jack Flash”, a clean composition that ran almost non-stop for an hour. And because all the songs on the album are guitar rock albums, the sound is beautifully reproduced in the live show, and the arrangement of “Jumping Jack Flash” based on the original is truly wonderful, and the cover makes the most of the charms of both artists, making this a must-listen item for fans of both.
