This latest release features nine tracks recorded in official quality, capturing the band’s performances from the 2025 Summer European Jazz Festival to the North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam. Last year, in November 2024, Ritenour toured Japan with Dave Grusin for four days in Tokyo. Unfortunately, there were no regional performances, so we were unable to hear Ritenour play live. This latest release, from July 2025, features a simple quartet performance, showcasing the performance of Ritenour & Friends. This truly spectacular live performance also includes the 1977 classic “Captain Fingers,” which wasn’t performed during the Japan tour.
