Description
A high-quality audience recording of the Seattle Kingdome performance on July 17, 1977, which has been almost completely ignored due to the standard pro shot and sound board that lasts for 3 and a half hours, is recorded for 3 hours and 33 minutes. Speaking of the audience recording of this day, two types of sound sources have been released in the past, such as “Kingdom Of Zep” and “I Scream, You Scream!”, but this board is a different sound source and the third audience recording. The recorder is Seattle’s famous taper “Bill B.”, and the sound quality is mono but good enough. This sound source first appeared in 2009 under the title “Floating On A Sea Of Scream”. At that time, there was a problem with digital noise and skipping in the general part of Since I’ve Been Loving You and the first minute of Over The Top, but in the new transfer version of this sound source “Like The Holy Land” uploaded by JEMS in 2011, there were no error problems with the above two songs, and it became possible to listen to the entire story without stress. When comparing the two, the JEMS version not only has no sound problems, but also has a natural sound quality and no sense of equalization, and the difference from the over-equalized “Floating On-” is clear, and as expected, it is written as “New Transfer”. The explanation on the net, “This is a really nice and enjoyable recording that perfectly captures just how much of an event this show really was and grandiosity of it all.” is exactly right, and a high-quality audience recording that captures the performance at a large venue conveys the charm of the band and the concert to the listener in a realistic way, with an image of a better atmosphere than a sound board. When it comes to the Seattle Kingdome, I think that although it is a standard sound source and video, it has the impression of being “not so good as a live performance”, but when you listen to the full length with a high-quality audience recording like this, the impression seems to change. Despite being such a high-quality famous recording and famous sound source, it has not been released in a decent form until now, commonly known as “Source #3”. Please take this opportunity to see how this is a wonderful recording take that is full of listening pleasure. Live at Kingdome, Seattle, Washington, USA 17th July 1977 Disc 1(68:15) 1. Intro 2.
