Description
Central Park is one of the best performances among the 1969 ZEP, which already has many great performances due to its dedicated performance before the break. Not only is the performance wonderful, but the sound quality is monaural but clear and very easy to listen to, making it one of the best audience recordings. Currently, “SCHAEFER MUSIC FESTIVAL” released by GRAF ZEPPELIN has become the definitive edition, and it still reigns as an item unrivaled by others. However, this time, we are gifting the version that is considered the best among ZEP’s online fan circle. It is similar to the version that was downloaded from the master tape to DAT, but compared to “SCHAEFER MUSIC FESTIVAL” which has a moist and calm sound quality, this one has a brighter and cleaner texture. There is no doubt that the original sound source is at the same level, and if “SCHAEFER MUSIC~” is close to the original sound, I get the impression that this one has been successfully equalized. Since the original is an audience recording with excellent background, this version can be compared to a finish that is more suitable for everyone. However, compared to “SCHAEFER MUSIC FESTIVAL”, the part that starts recording from the cut-in of the opening “Train Kept A Rollin'” is shorter, or the sound that occurs just before Plant starts singing in “How Many More Times”. Although it was a good idea to cut and paste a blur-free version using branch copy to hide the blurring, there are some imperfections such as differences in sound quality and not smooth editing. Therefore, it is good to be familiar to enthusiasts, but since it was released as a picture disc LP in the past, there is nothing more suitable as an item that allows you to easily enjoy Central Park, which has been known as a famous sound source. After all, it’s extremely easy to listen to. And the plant, which screams with ease throughout the entire volume, and the performances by Page and others who support it, are full of the momentum unique to 1969. The sight of Plant repeating the ending shout of “You Shook Me” in response to ridicule from the audience is something unique to this period. DAT Master is considered the best in famous fan circles. The freshness is outstanding. Corrected pitch about 10% higher than a semitone. Wollman Rink, Central Park, New York, USA 21st July 1969 (1st Show) TRULY PERFECT SOUND (66:27) 1.
