Description

June 9th North Carolina, Charlotte performance from the 1972 US tour appears. This tour was an important watershed moment between Robert’s rough high-tone voice in his early years and his mature vocals in his middle years. The second day of the tour was with Charlotte. The highlight of the day was the only performance of the year, “Celebration Day.” Although the arrangement is the same as the one from the following year, the first half is crisp, but the second half ends in a precarious manner, perhaps due to a broken string. Also, while it was customary on this tour to insert various medleys into “Whole Lotta Love”, here it was a compact performance without inserts, and as a result, the same song A rare version played alone. And above all, what characterizes this day is the relaxed and relaxed performance throughout, just like the “laid back” that was popular at this time. The careful and relaxing performance has a different feel from the fast-paced performance of 1973. DISC ONE / 01. Immigrant Song 02. Heartbreaker 03. Celebration Day 04. Black Dog 05.
