Description
Audience recording of April 8th Raleigh performance from the 1970 North American tour. It is the ideal sound quality that allows you to experience the overwhelming ensemble of this period in real life, and you can’t ask for anything better than this! This time’s sound source uses a sound source that is said to have been copied by Taper from 1GEN tape using metal tape. (Apart from this sound source, there is another 1GEN tape in circulation that is said to have been copied by Taper himself to several friends, and some say that it is sharper and better, or that the copy with this metal tape is more natural. (There seem to be various opinions on whether it’s clear or not) The master that Taper inherited in 1992 does exist, but when making a copy, the tape got tangled in Nakamichi’s deck, so it couldn’t be played. It is said that packaging using master is difficult. In any case, the difference from the previous releases is clear, and it can be said that this sound source, which has the highest peak sound quality and is full of edges, is definitely the best one at the moment! (It’s also recorded a little longer and the pitch has been adjusted just right.) We’re Gonna Groove, a plant explosion that was the opening song in the early 70’s until Immigrant Song came out (unfortunately, it’s a cut-in) ), Dazed And Confused, in which Jimmy masterfully manipulates a phantasmagoric and slow-paced tone that is completely different from what he did after 1973, Heartbreaker, in which Jonesy’s undulating bass runs at full speed, and I Can’ after the Great Western Forum performance on March 27th. t Quit You Baby was replaced with Bring It On Home where Plant shows off his harmonica, Page’s exclusive White Summer/Black Mountain Side (cut at 9:26), and Page’s intense yet beautiful solo. Thank You, which explodes with energy, and What Is And What Should Never Be, which has an exquisite singing style that makes use of Plant’s high tone, are things that can only be enjoyed at this time of year. A must-have for fans who can enjoy a passionate live performance with the best sound quality ever, the definitive edition of Raleigh’s performance (although it is incompletely recorded, ending at Moby Dick 17:36)!
