Description

Contains live recordings of Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, and others at the Newport Jazz Festival, recorded by the late famous music critic Mr. F. Den when he went to the United States in 1969, from an original master cassette. (Tape is TDK, C-90F). He also recorded Blind Faith’s New York MSG performance on July 12th, which was released on the old MP label. Led Zeppelin has three songs recorded at the beginning of the tape, and the sound quality is an audience recording of an outstandingly good level for this era. There is no sound deterioration or cracking. Unfortunately, he begins to move around the 7th minute of Dazed & Confused, and the sound gradually becomes distant. During this time, you can hear conversations with your companions and noises from walking. When I heard his words at 8:40, “Jimmy Page definitely has some technique,” it was a moment that made me think, “Wow.” Considering that the first album was released about half a year ago, and the legendary first performance in Japan was to be held two years and two months later, the fact that a famous Japanese music critic was watching the stage performance at this time is amazing. I feel this is historically amazing. The recording time of Zeppelin is short, about 20 minutes, but even though the recorded time is short, the sound quality is incomparably superior to the previously released album that includes the full stage, and it is also excellent as a sound source. I am convinced that there is something tremendously important about this. I guess this is what makes vintage bootleg tapes so interesting. After that, there will be one song by the original Blood Sweat & Tears, who just released their 2nd album, and Roland Kirk, who plays a freaky brass performance, and finally Jethro Tull’s 33-minute full stage. is recorded in high quality. (At the beginning, you can hear a Japanese conversation saying, “Jethro Tull is amazing, he’s so powerful.”) Contains five representative songs that every rock fan knows, and it’s a tremendous performance. is a masterpiece, and just like Zeppelin, this one is also worth listening to. The sound quality is good for all bands, but I can say that I’m lucky that Zeppelin’s sound is by far the best. Please enjoy 61 minutes that transcend time and space from the original vintage tape that is a must-hear for fans.
