Description
The 8mm archive of LED ZEPPELIN continues to be newly excavated. The latest light-colored video is now available. This work was filmed at the “April 23, 1977 Atlanta Performance”. This is a color 8mm film. We have introduced many of ZEP’s 8mm collections, but the 1977 tour was particularly prolific. In order to organize the collection so far, let’s first check the position of this work in relation to the tour schedule at that time. North America #1 *April 1st “DALLAS 1977 THE VIDEO” ・April 3rd-7th (4 performances) *April 9th ”CHICAGO 1977 3RD NIGHT RARE FOOTAGE” ・April 10th-20th (7 performances) *April 23rd: Atlanta performance ←★This work★ ・April 25th-28th (3 performances) *April 30th “PONTIAC 1977 8mm” North America #2 *May 18th-June 3rd (10 performances) *June 7th-14th “MADISON SQUARE GARDEN 1977 8mm” ・June 19th: San Diego performance *June 22nd-27th “L.A. FORUM 1977 8mm UPGRADE” North America #3 *July 17th-24th (4 performances) This is the 1977 8mm collection. Only “CHICAGO 1977 3RD NIGHT RARE FOOTAGE” was released, which was canceled due to Jimmy Page’s poor health. This latest work is also a work that boasts exceptional visual beauty. Normally, 8mm has a standard frame rate of “18fps”, but the cinematographer of this work, Ron Gerber, shot it at “24fps”. “fps” is the number of frames used per second. The higher this number, the smoother the movement, but “24fps” is a general movie setting. The effect is tremendous, and this work has been praised as “I can’t believe it’s 8mm” and “It’s like a movie”. As usual, this work is short at about 7 minutes, but the amazingness of “24fps” explodes from around the 1 minute and a half mark. At the beginning, it is shot from the stands looking down, but then the position changes to a seat close to the stage (although it seems to change frequently after that). The closer you get, the bigger the movement of the people on the screen becomes, and the smoother it becomes. You can enjoy Page’s action in vivid detail. As the number of works increases, the 8mm series has become more interesting not only for its value but also for its diverse individuality. This is a masterpiece of smooth footage that will further enrich your collection. The latest work in the precious 8mm collection has been released. The screen, shot at a movie-level 24fps setting, is smooth and has been praised as “unbelievable as 8mm.” This is a must-see piece that allows you to enjoy the action of Jimmy Page in top form.
