Description
Following the 1970 live footage of ZEP at Madison Square Garden and Blueberry Hill, footage of the Bus Festival, which should be called the real deal, has been unearthed! Speaking of the Bus Festival, 8-inch footage shot from the audience has been available on YouTube for some time, but this time it’s a professional shot using 16-inch film, so it’s a big deal. However, rather than being released with the intention of releasing a live video, it seems like a news footage company got permission to film the festival and included ZEP’s stage as part of the footage. To back this up, the footage was released by an account that handles various historical news footage. In fact, this footage was shot with one camera from the side of the stage, and there is no angle from the front of the stage. Even the Royal Albert Hall used two cameras, so it’s clear that this was recorded for news footage, and the fact that the songs are recorded in pieces also supports this. It’s interesting that Bonzo is the one who gets the most close-up, since it was recorded from the side of the stage. Moreover, the gap between him being the only drummer with heavy work, wearing only a T-shirt, and the other members wearing thick clothes as seen in the photos that have been known so far, is too funny. And even though it was only one camera, it was a professional shot, so the interesting thing about the subject when it was close-up was that Robert was wearing flashy patterned boots, and Jonesy was surprised because he was wearing pants with a mysterious animal pattern. His pants are a bit tacky (bitter smile). Also, in “Bring It On Home”, the performance starts while inciting the audience, just like at the Albert Hall, but the key of the blues harp that Robert was trying to play there was wrong, and it was a professional shot to see the scene where he had the roadie replace it. In this way, the video was full of valuable scenes even in a short amount of time, but there was no sound because it was a piece of news footage. Then, a maniac quickly synchronized the sound source of the same day familiar from “THE BOY NEXT DOOR” and released it in this version. I’m impressed by the skill that managed to synchronize such fragmented footage, and above all, the audio makes it even more enjoyable. However, this mania’s work was quickly deleted due to a complaint from the account that released the original video. Therefore, it can no longer be seen. This DVDR contains the phantom audio synchronized version on DVD. This is a literally high-grade DVD that allows you to enjoy ZEP’s legendary 1970 Bath Festival in the best possible image quality.
