Description

A high-quality monaural audience recording of the Long Beach performance on June 27, 1972, lasting 2 hours and 28 minutes. Speaking of this day’s audience recordings, including the monaural source that was mainly recorded on the CD “Wild Beach Party” (LED NOTE) released in the 90’s, it has been made in recent years and has high sound quality with a total recording time of about 100 minutes. “How The West Was, Too!”, which was uploaded to the Internet as a stereo recording, is famous, but compared to those previous releases with many omissions, the sound quality is inferior, but it was recorded for a long time from the cheering part before the start of the live performance to the end. This “Source 2” can be said to be a version that cannot be ignored by enthusiasts. For example, the Drone (Intro) at the beginning is recorded for 2 minutes and 35 seconds, and the Immigrant Song is also recorded from the beginning uncut, so the point is that you can enjoy the parts that have not been recorded in other sources that have already been released. At the beginning it sounds like Dango, but after the sound calms down, for example after Over The Hills And Far Away, you can enjoy the live performance with a very “listenable” sound. The sound that precedes Since I’ve Been Loving You is pretty big. There are some cuts and noises here and there (Dazed And Confused etc. have cuts in several places in the song), but you can tell at first listen that the low generation and unprocessed sound is great. Therefore, I think it is definitely one of the best sauces that enthusiasts will be satisfied with. Instead of using the internet, we use treasured masters provided by influential overseas enthusiasts. It had not been distributed on the internet before, but in the underground real trade, it was distributed as “Source 2” next to the monaural source of the LED NOTE edition, and the LED NOTE edition’s Dazed And Confused and Rock And Roll were distributed. Full-length version of the source that was also used. In order for you to enjoy the master itself, no sound processing was done here. From the last Whole Lotta Love, it’s a shame that the pitch was high and the sound deteriorated at the same time, probably because the battery was dead, but other than that, you can enjoy the stable sound, so there’s no problem in listening to it. (The pitches of these latter two songs were corrected when they were made into this CD.Whole Lotta Love includes 28 minutes, but the last part was originally cut out). Be sure to add “Second Source”, the longest version of the live performance at its peak, which can also be heard on the official live album “HOW THE WEST WAS WON” to your collection.
