Description
Recorded on June 2, 1973 at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco. Moby Dick, who was originally supposed to play for nearly 30 minutes, made the mistake of recording just under 4 minutes (cut at 1 minute 30 seconds, and only the ending is left after that. Well, it’s easier for the listener). Other than that, the entirety of the show is preserved in one of the highest-level audience recordings on the tour, and like the record sound source of the “5 1/2” Seattle performance, it is a must-listen and must-have item for fans. Fortunately, this performance also included an ultra-high-quality sound board that recorded 63 minutes of the second half of the show, from nearly 30 minutes of Moby Dick, which was not recorded by the audience, to the last venue announcement that could not be heard even in the audience recording. The content of the show is good, such as the fact that there are many shows, so it can be said that it is a very accessible concert for fans. There are various versions, such as filling in the missing parts with a sound board based on the audience, but this edition dares to include “KRW-CO Transfer”, which is said to be one of the best at present, on discs 1 and 2. Disc 3 contains a pure sound board that is said to be a cassette master (?) > DAT > CD and has “Unaltered sound”, that is, no modification other than pitch correction. The sound board has a short loss at the 30th second of Whole Lotta Love, but it is a very clear and easy-to-listen sound source with little deterioration and is a must-have for fans. The aforementioned audience is marked as “Analog Reel Master>DAT” and is a top class sound source that is on par with “Cassette Master>DAT”. The content of the show was great, and Plant seemed to be very satisfied with the atmosphere inside the venue, ending with the famous “This is the BEST VIBES since first time we played Fillmore 5 years ago…So, VIBES ARE REAL!” I bid you farewell in good spirits.
