Description
He started an attempt to fuse jazz and rock from the earliest time that could be confirmed, accomplished it before anyone else, and was also the first to start performing authentic, transcendental performances on the acoustic guitar, making a great contribution to not only music fans but also many musicians. A spectacular live performance by the influential giants Coryell, Brunel, and Muzaan will appear! ! In the 1980s, the most active period in Coryell’s career, drummer Alfonso Mouzane, known as Black Bonzo, who was active with Coryell in the monumental jazz rock group Eleventh House, Chick Corea’s band, and Herbie. From a rare live performance that was held only a few times, the super trio of bassist Bunny Brunel, who is known for his transcendental play with CAB, Shorter, and Denichen, gave an intense performance in Mannheim, Germany on April 12, 1984. A 2-disc set has arrived, complete with over 2 hours of extremely high-quality sound that has been carefully mastered by the label! ! The live performance includes Coryell’s “Low-Lee-Tah” and “The Funky Waltz” from his Eleventh House days, a time when Coryell was pursuing the most authentic and technical jazz rock of his career, along with Muzaan. A combination of electric and acoustic music that sums up Coryell’s career up to that point, including “Stiff Neck” in a duo between Coryell and Brunel, “Bolero” in Coryell’s acoustic solo, and “Ivan Four”, the title song of Brunel’s solo album. You can fully enjoy Coryell’s play with the mixed set list. Of course, the powerful drums of Muzan, the most violent player in the industry, who has played with Coryell many times including Eleventh House, and the technical bass of Brunel, who was said to be a fretless master at the time along with Jaco and Percy Jones, all the members. It is music that embodies the ideal democracy by listening to each other and always playing to the fullest.
