This is a masterpiece recorded from an FM broadcast source of a special live performance at a jazz festival held in Chicago in August 2002, just before the release of the album “Tricycle” by the trio formed by Larry Coryell and two former rhythm members of the Pat Metheny Group, featuring alto saxophonist Arthur Blythe, who created an era with his dynamic tone. The following year, in 2003, the performance at the Chicago club “Showcase” was officially released, but this live performance with Arthur Blythe’s participation allows you to fully enjoy the jazz-colored ensemble of Coryell’s guitar and Blythe’s alto. In addition to standards, the album also includes Coryell’s masterpiece “Space Revisited,” which was not included on the official album.
