Description
Florian Schneider, the founder of KRAFTWERK, passed away on April 7, 2020 at the age of 73. A soundboard album released for the first time in memory of him is now available. This work was recorded at “Vancouver performance on May 7, 1975”. This is a stereo soundboard recording. Speaking of their soundboard, the super masterpiece “PARIS 1976 SOUNDBOARD” is still fresh in my memory. Since the show itself was rare in the 70s, let’s check the position from the schedule at that time. 1975 March 12th-22nd: Europe #1 (3 performances) April 3rd-June 8th: North America (45 performances) ←★Here★ September 1st-22nd: UK (16 Performances)《“Radioactivity” released in October》1976, February 26th – March 21st: Europe #2 (5 performances) ← *“PARIS 1976 SOUNDBOARD”, July 31st + August 1st: France ( 2 performances) September 8th – October 10th: Europe #3 (9 performances) This is KRAFTWERK in 1975/1976. “PARIS 1976 SOUNDBOARD” was a show after the release of “Radioactivity”, but this work was the previous “Autobahn” era. The album itself was released in November of 1974, but the tour did not begin until 1975. The Vancouver performance of this work was the 25th concert of the main “North American” leg. This work recorded at such a show is also a superb stereo sound board. In fact, it is a master released by the same person as “PARIS 1976 SOUNDBOARD”, and there were some parts with a scratchy feel and poor stereo contact (we improved the parts that could be corrected as much as possible), but the basic quality is Very similar. The live performance enters your head with such a direct feeling that it was clearly recorded directly from the mix table, and a unique microcosm spreads inside your brain. The synthesizer sound pans out with an extraordinary stereo effect, and the synchronization feels like channeling. What is drawn with such a sound is a rich show unique to the early days that is even more core than the famous album “PARIS 1976 SOUNDBOARD”. Of course, there are no songs from “Radioactivity” yet, and on the contrary, the early repertoire is delicious.・Kraftwerk: Ruckzuck (★) ・Kraftwerk 2: Klingklang (★) ・Ralf & Florian: Tanzmusik ・Autobahn: Kometenmelodie I/Kometenmelodie II/Autobahn *Note: Songs marked with “★” cannot be heard on “PARIS 1976 SOUNDBOARD” song. …and it looks like this. While focusing on his breakthrough “Autobahn,” he also selected one song from each of his previous three albums. “Tanzmusik” could also be heard on “PARIS 1976 SOUNDBOARD”, but “Klingklang” and “Ruckzuck” are valuable repertoires that were only played on this tour. Furthermore, the feeling of live performance that spins such a set is amazing. Even in “PARIS 1976 SOUNDBOARD”, you could feel the presence of fingertips wriggling behind the equipment, but the performance in this book is even more primitive. It has an overwhelming handcrafted feel, with sounds that would normally have been sampled from the 80s onwards, played one by one, and because it’s electronic music, it feels all the more sensual. In fact, if you look at their history, the only thing that can be said to be a full-fledged 70’s tour is the “1975 North American leg”, which is the setting for this work. It is clear that he has improved significantly here, and in this work you can enjoy the process and the results in “PARIS 1976 SOUNDBOARD”. This is a show that can only be expected from KRAFTWERK, who have just spread their wings around the world. This is a rare masterpiece that allows you to experience the music that created a unique world view and pioneered new music genres with sounds directly connected to your brain. Although it is more maniac than the super masterpiece “PARIS 1976 SOUNDBOARD”, it is a masterpiece of a stereo soundboard that allows you to enjoy the deep and rich rarity.
