Description

From the second performance in Japan in 1978, the performance on April 2nd, the final day of Budokan 5 Days, is completely recorded with two types of high-quality audience recordings on the same day. Contains valuable sound sources from the time when “LOVE GUN” and “ALIVE II” were released and their popularity was at its peak. Discs 1 & 2 include a complete live recording of 1 hour and 36 minutes from the completely first appearance original cassette master cassette that has never been distributed among traders. The sound quality is guaranteed to be excellent from the intro, and you can enjoy the whole show with a sound that is extremely fresh and has a solid and stable localization. The raw, powerful sound with a raw feel perfectly recreates the space of Budokan in 1978, and fans are sure to be impressed. The sense of presence and atmosphere is also very good as it makes you feel the heat of the time realistically. Compared to the legendary first tour to Japan in 1977, the setlist is characterized by the addition of songs from “LOVE GUN” and “ALIVE II”, including Shock Me, in which Ace takes lead vocals, and songs from the 1978 tour. There are plenty of unique places to listen. Speaking of the 1978 Japan edition, the sound source of March 31st was famous in the past with titles such as “Rock And Roll Party 1978”, but there are few sound sources of this final day, so fans should listen to it. After the Love Gun performance, Paul loudly MCs, “Tonight is the last show in Tokyo!” The entire album is recorded with very good high-quality sound, but unfortunately there are parts where the tape shakes after Detroit Rock City, probably because of the equipment. However, this night’s live document, recorded with a solid sound image that gives you a sense of freshness, is definitely a must-listen for fans. Perhaps because Kiss had decided to take a long hiatus after this day’s live performance, it was a characteristic of this day that you could listen to a somewhat relaxed and enjoyable performance. Discs 3 & 4 include the same-day sound source “Last Budokan 1978,” which was released six years ago on a label called Tightrope (a super limited label with only two titles). This is also recorded with a wonderful high-quality audience recording. Beatleg magazine vol. 69 (April 2006 issue) also said, “The take of this day is very rare, and this is the first time it has been released on CD.It is a good audience recording, and the sense of presence is perfect, and the opening song “I “Stole Your Love” and the amazing pyro sound in the intro of the first encore song “Detroit Rock City” are worth the price.” This was also a must-have disc for fans that directly used the original cassette master, which was not even available among traders at the time, but it quickly sold out and went out of print, and it was a disc that was never seen on the market, so this set. I think the title will be a happy one for fans who haven’t heard it yet. This day was KISS’s last show in Japan in the 1970s, and considering that their third visit to Japan was realized 10 years later in 1988, in that sense, KISS It can be said to be a historically important live performance. This is a piece that collectors should definitely add to their collection. Live at Budokan, Tokyo, Japan 2nd April 1978 TRULY AMAZING SOUND(from 2 Diff Masters) Recorder 1 Disc 1 1. Introduction 2.
