Description

In 1987, KISS made a hit with “CRAZY NIGHTS” and reached their heyday again even without makeup. The masterpiece pro shot has been decided to be released. This work was filmed at “Philadelphia Performance on December 18, 1987.” This is the multi-camera pro shot. Speaking of “CRAZY NIGHTS TOUR”, it is a memorable place as it was the only performance in Japan in the 1980s. First, let’s check the show’s position from its overall picture. ●1987 [“CRAZY NIGHTS” released on September 21st]・November 13th – December 31st: North America #1 (31 performances) ←★Here★ ●1988・January 1st – April 2nd: North America #2 (66 performances) April 16th-24th: Japan (5 performances) July 4th: Swansea performance August 12th + 13th: New York (2 performances) August 16th-October 4th: Europe (23 performances) This is KISS’ full tour without makeup. The Japanese performance was held in 1988, but the main home tour was a long one that lasted four and a half months, including the end of the year. The Philadelphia performance of this work was the 24th concert of “North America #1”, which was about 3 months after the album was released. This work, which records such a show, is a multi-camera professional shot that is worth seeing. The sweet, analog-like image quality is hard to call official quality by modern standards, but at the time it could be said to be no problem. And above all, the master’s freshness is amazing. There is no white line noise, running kinks, or discoloration, and there is no artificiality of digital processing. You can stare at the natural and glossy screen for hours on end. What’s even better is that it’s long. As some of you may have already noticed, the video of this show has also been made official in the official box “KISSOLOGY VOLUME TWO”. However, while the official box was a snack of 5 songs, this work has 14 songs, and you can enjoy a full 84 minutes of individual solos and jam time. Let’s organize the contents by song list. ●Songs that were also seen on “KISSOLOGY VOLUME TWO” (5 songs)・LOVE GUN: Love Gun・CRAZY NIGHTS: Bang Bang You/No, No, No/Crazy Crazy Nights/Reason To Live ●Songs not officially included (8 songs) +α)・KISS: Cold Gin・DRESSED TO KILL: Rock And Roll All Nite・DESTROYER: Detroit Rock City・CREATURES OF THE NIGHT: War Machine/I Love It Loud・LICK IT UP: Fits Like A Glove/Lick It Up・ANIMALIZE: Heaven’s On Fire・Others: White Christmas…and so on. The official version clearly chose the “CRAZY NIGHTS” number, but this work has a huge increase in volume that cannot be compared. She shows off plenty of her 70s and no-makeup era. Among all its gorgeousness, the one that catches the eye is “War Machine.” We also introduce “CRAZY NIGHTS TOUR”’s highest peak soundboard album “DEFINITIVE STOCKHOLM 1988”, but since this work has a different leg, you can also enjoy “War Machine” that cannot be heard there. Even rarer is “White Christmas.” The idea is that it’s Christmas time, but the four members gather around one microphone and sing a cappella. Unfortunately, it was cut midway through and ended up falling into “Detroit Rock City,” but it’s truly stunning. Although everyone can sing, I wonder if they could even make an a cappella album with such beautiful harmonies. KISS in the 1980s achieved great success even without makeup. This is a long professional shot where you can enjoy the healthy and active show with multiple cameras. It’s 84 minutes full of famous songs not seen in the official version.
