Description

KISS in 1974, who began their world invasion with a tough tour along with their album debut. The traditional soundboard sound source that pours the live performance of the dawn of half a century ago into your brain has been upgraded! It has been decided to release it on the highest peak updated sound CD! This work is engraved with the “Detroit performance on April 7, 1974”. It is a stereo soundboard recording. Speaking of 1974, it is the year of KISS’ debut. First of all, let’s take a bird’s-eye view of the activities at that time and check the position of the show. 1974 January 8th + 26th: New York (2 shows) “KISS Tour” February 5th-21st: North America #1 (7 shows) March 22nd-August 4th: North America #2 (64 shows) ←★Here★《August “HOTTER THAN HELL” Production》 September 13th-October 4th: North America #3 (13 shows) ←※TORONTO SEPTEMBER 1974 “HOTTER THAN HELL Tour” October 16th-December 31st: North America #4 (42 shows) ←※EAST LANSING 1974 This is the debut KISS. There were no overseas performances yet, and it was limited to North America, but it was a vigorous tour that was different from the club era and swept the United States. The Detroit performance of this work was also one act of the first US tour “North America #2”. We have archived as many historical live shows as possible, so let’s zoom in on the dates and check out the collection. Details of “North America #2” March 22-April 5 (11 performances) * April 7: Detroit performance ←★ This work ★ April 8 + 12 (2 performances) * April 13 “DETROIT 1974 (DVD)” April 14-17 (4 performances) * April 18 “MEMPHIS 1974 2ND NIGHT” April 19-August 4 (44 performances) … and so on. The similarly titled “DETROIT 1974” is also popular in our shop, but that is a video work of a different performance. KISS performed in Detroit six times in 1974 alone, and this work was also the memorable “KISS’s first Detroit”. Such a show is also known for being broadcast on FM, and this work is an upgraded version that updates the highest peak. This is a newly excavated master brought from our familiar unique route, and it has been digitized directly from the pre-FM reel master. And the upgrade range that concerns me is “almost something else”. Speaking of conventional masters, most of them had harsh hiss noise, tape twists, and rounded edges, but this work is extremely thick and fresh. Although it cannot be said to be “ALIVE! Beyond the masterpiece official class!”, it can be said to be “excavation official class”. The details that I had been listening to as if searching until now are poured into my ears without even concentrating. Such a sound depicts the historic “first Detroit” full show. This day was the opening act of AEROSMITH, so it was a short set, but in the time of about 45 minutes, all 10 songs and 7 songs from the debut work “KISS” were generously played. In addition, “She” and “Let Me Go, Rock ‘N Roll” from “HOTTER THAN HELL”, which had not yet been produced, are interwoven into it. In particular, “Let Me Go, Rock ‘N Roll” is an early performance that cannot be heard in the video work “DETROIT 1974” or the soundboard album “MEMPHIS 1974 2ND NIGHT” from the same period. And the energy is amazing. All four of them were in their 20s at the time, and Paul and Ace were only 22 years old. Moreover, AEROSMITH was waiting behind. Even though it was the opening, the spirit of trying to eat was exposed, and the pleasure of the powerful live performance being engraved in the brain without any hesitation is tremendous. This is a super powerful soundboard album that revives KISS from 50 years ago with a pre-FM reel sound that is incomparable to the conventional master. Even with the conventional master covered in noise, I thought “I guess the original is amazing,” but I didn’t know it was so amazing. This is the definitive edition of the powerful and unparalleled early live album excavated from a unique route of shock works. Stereo soundboard recording of KISS’ first Detroit performance on April 7, 1974. A pre-FM reel master newly excavated from our own route, an upgrade that is “almost something else”. There is almost no harsh hiss noise or tape twisting like in the past, and the core is extremely thick. The energy immediately after the debut was the last time, and the hot live performance that burns to eat the headliner AEROSMITH is poured into the brain, making this a great decision board for the very early live album.
