Description

KISS’ 14th album “CRAZY NIGHTS”, released in 1987 with Ron Nevison as producer, was a work that expressed the band’s strong will to “grab success” in the music scene of the time. The sound, with metallic guitars and keyboards at the forefront, was considered “unusual” by ’70s fans, but the high level of performance in addition to the rich songs attracted many fans. It brilliantly shone platinum disc, and became one of the best masterpieces even in the no-makeup era. Three songs from this album were released as singles, “Crazy Crazy Nights”, “Reason To Live”, and “Turn On The Night”, each of which was made into a music video. These were frequently aired on TV, and contributed greatly to the success of the album and the band. This work compiles 12 types of video footage used to create the clip for “Crazy Crazy Nights” (of course) all of them are professional shots with perfect image quality! You can enjoy 42 minutes of super rare footage that you would never normally see! From “Band #1” to “Band #6” in the first half, the four of them play along with the songs on a set that imitates a live stage. The performances captured in each take are different. All of these videos were shot with one camera, moving left and right on the rails laid in front of the stage. The members also perform flashy actions, and you can enjoy a dynamic screen (only “Band #4” is a 40-second take, but the others are all recorded in full). The two takes each of “Paul Stanley” and “Gene Simmons” in the middle are even more surprising! As the title suggests, this is a shot that captures only Paul or Gene. In front of a fixed camera that shows a close-up of their faces or upper bodies, both of them continue to make expressions to the 3 minutes and 40 seconds of the song (of course, the actions here also vary greatly depending on the take)! In the second half, the band returns to filming the whole band again. “Band #7” and “Band #8” have different stage sets from the band version in the first half, and the camera moves freely not only left and right but also forward and backward and diagonally (even capturing drummer Eric Carr from above with a bird’s-eye view of the stage), and even rotates, showing a variety of screen creation. If you watch the finished “CRAZY CRAZY NIGHTS” clip after watching these videos, you will clearly understand the fact that a great deal of effort is put into the production of a single video clip. The movements of the staff and members before and after the take also make you feel like you are peeking behind the scenes of glamorous show business without compromise. This 42-minute film captures the professional side of KISS, true entertainers. Please enjoy this film with the original menu, which will give you a full taste of the fun that only a collector’s item can offer!
