Description
This work contains the “Long Beach performance on May 31, 1974”. It is a stereo soundboard recording. As mentioned above, this soundboard is known for the existing group that originated from the LP bootleg “FRIED ALIVE!”, and this work is one that updates the highest peak. The upgrade covers both quality and quantity. The most important thing is the recording time. The parts that were cut on the legendary LP are complemented by the newly excavated master on CD. It is a complete version that also allows you to listen to “Baby, Let Me Go”. You may think, “The CD is also the complete version, right? Then you don’t need it,” but the story is not that simple. As mentioned in the main commentary, the sound itself is actually quite different from the newly excavated master. This is also a mystery. In the first place, “FRIED ALIVE!” was also considered to be a KNAC broadcast, but the balance is different from this air check. Was there another broadcast with a different mix, or was “FRIED ALIVE!” a soundboard with a different history from the broadcast? … It may become clear by future research. And the other sound is pretty good. If the main press CD has the natural feel of the legendary broadcast, this work is a powerful sound with an enhanced direct feeling. As mentioned above, it is not clear why the sound is different, and it may be that “FRIED ALIVE!” was sound processed. In any case, it is not surprising that some people prefer the powerful sound of this work. The CD is a cultural heritage album that approaches the truth of the newly excavated master and the truth of the broadcast. In contrast, this work is an upgraded version that maximizes the traditional recording. Although both have different methods, it is a new masterpiece that updates the highest peak of the legendary sound board. Please enjoy it to the fullest along with the newly excavated natural sound of the CD. Long Beach Auditorium, Long Beach, CA. USA 31st May 1974 STEREO SBD UPGRADE! (40:51)1. Narration 2. Intro 3.
