Description

We have prepared the TV program “THE INNER SANCTUM”, one of the professionally shot video versions of the extremely rare transitional “UNMASKED Tour”! A documentary program that is completely different from the official version So, what is included in this work is the legendary program “THE INNER SANCTUM” that utilized the professional shot of “Sydney performance on November 22, 1980”. This is a video work that sets two of its highest peak masters. Speaking of professional shots of the Sydney performance, the official box “KISSOLOGY VOLUME TWO” recording version is famous, but “THE INNER SANCTUM” is different from that. While featuring multi-camera professional shots of the live on the day, there are also plenty of interviews with members, related parties, and audience members. Rather than a music work, it is a documentary work that depicts KISS’s visit to Australia, which was also a national event. The highest peak master unearthed by a unique route This documentary was a treasure video known only to those in the know as a symbol of “the UNMASKED Tour seen with your eyes”, but this work is the highest peak version. Moreover, it is a definitive set of two masters with different contents. Both masters contain the entire program, but the first half of this work is the “broadcast version”. It is also the first version broadcast in Australia on “February 20, 1981”. It was made into a DVD directly from the recording master at the time, which was excavated by a unique route. It is an ultra-elegant product that revives the beauty of the image at that time exactly as it is. And the second half is the “phonogram version” of the same program. It is a tape used for promotion within “Phonogram International”, but it is the version that was loaned to a Dutch fan club in 1984 and released at conventions. This is also a 1st gene copy brought by a unique route, and is the best master in existence (excluding the original master that may be sleeping in Phonogram). Two sets with different image quality, subtitles, and audio Although both are basically the same program, the quality and details are different. First of all, the image quality. The “phonogram version” is more vivid here, and the screen that is not via radio waves is clear even in the fine details and the colors are vivid. It is a visual beauty that surpasses all the masters known so far. And the decisive factor is the sound mix. Although the first half “broadcast version” is mono, the vocals are balanced with a strong forward vocals and the cheers are subdued. It is a sound that emphasizes relatively easy listening. In contrast, the second half “phonogram version” is stereo and the cheers are dynamic. It is a sound with a stronger documentary feel. Furthermore, the content is also subtly different. First of all, the subtitles. There are some subtitles that are only for the “phonogram version”, but basically there are more subtitles for the “broadcast version”, and the information unique to the program creates a sense of the era at that time. Even more decisive is the ending, which is completely edited separately even though the same material is used. The members, the set, and the performance venue… everything was special on the “UNMASKED Tour”. This is a pro-shot work that allows you to witness that scene. This is a piece that allows you to enjoy a precious era in a documentary style that is completely different from the official “KISSOLOGY VOLUME TWO” version.
