Description
The 1977 US tour accompanying the release of “S Sleepwalker” features a performance at Winterland in San Francisco on February 19th, recorded in full on a stereo soundboard from the master recordings for radio broadcast. The show features songs from the album, as well as classics from the 70s and 60s, creating a lively R&R show that only the Kinks could offer. This was also the year that Van Halen’s cover of “You Really Got Me” became a revival hit, and the band was once again in the spotlight as pioneers. Ray Davies’ superb vocals and the tasteful band performance that is reminiscent of British rock are a must-listen.
