Description
Kenny Dorham, who has a distinguished career including joining the Max Roach Quintet as a successor to Charlie Parker, Art Blakey, and Clifford Brown, performed live in New York with a group of powerful bebop musicians for the first time. The quintet is composed of David Newman, known for his soulful performances, Ronnie Matthews, who is popular for his brilliant improvisations, Paul Chambers, who is well known, on bass, and Candy Finch, who made a name for himself with the Gillespie Band, on drums. A live performance with this lineup can’t be bad, and you can enjoy swingy jazz. This live recording would be a great loss if it were to remain buried in history. Experience New York’s crazy night to the fullest this weekend.
