Description

The release of “LOS ANGELES 1993: MIKE MILLARD MASTER DAT” proved that Mike Millard had even recorded Keith Richards and the Expensive Wines live, but he did go to Keith and Wines live in 1988. He was asked by a friend to record this day, and he borrowed his friend’s equipment, but he went to the Hollywood Palladium in December. Yes, even if you’re not a maniac, you should be able to tell just by the name of the venue. He recorded at the Hollywood Palladium, which is familiar from official and nostalgic Mistral records. Furthermore, the Palladium is a large theater where the Stones were able to hold a concert in 1972, and this audience recording by Millard is a recording state with a sense of distance. Even so, it’s surprising that the day has come when we can hear the familiar Palladium in an audience recording. On top of that, it’s Millard recording. The Hollywood Palladium has finally been officially released in full, but even now and in the past, the official release has been pinching the gaps between songs as much as possible. Of course, this is a recording from the audience without any tricks, so it’s really refreshing to hear the “Happy Birthday” call from the audience before “Time Is On My Side”. This scene was faintly heard on the Mistral record, but it’s clearly audible because it’s an audience recording. This is what you can only get from an audience recording. Because Millard couldn’t get a good position, the fans’ strange voices appeared from the beginning, but don’t worry, it’s not as loud as the nostalgic Kinney-made “LA CONNECTION”, which was a real-time stray from the 1988 tour (laughs). Rather, the experience of listening to Keith’s familiar palladium on the soundboard with the audience was so fresh that I reaffirmed that he was excited on the day. And his recording of “Connection” was almost unrecorded due to the timing of the cassette change, but this part was officially compensated for. As expected, the official sound is good, but as mentioned above, the mirrored master has high sound quality that is difficult to achieve, so you can enjoy it without much discomfort, including the sound switching. This is a literal audience document of the familiar Hollywood Palladium, recorded by the unexpected mirrored. If you are a enthusiast, you will surely enjoy the 1988 tour with the nostalgic Expensive Wines, and the other side of the Palladium!
