Description
(As of now) Keith’s last solo tour “MAIN OFFENDER TOUR 1992-1993”. The best video of the final performance has been decided to be released. The final performance is “February 24, 1993 New York performance”. It is a superb audience shot of a concert at the traditional Broadway theater “Beacon Theater”. What is surprising is its quality. Naturally, it will be an analog video shoot due to the era, but it has been digitized directly from the original VHS master. It is extremely fresh, with no dubbing marks or deterioration over time, and not even a single white line noise. In recent years, many excavated videos of the original master have appeared, but this is an exceptional image beauty. What’s even more amazing is the camera work. It is shot from the right side of the stage, at a slightly downward angle, and judging from the screen that does not reflect any heads or arms of the front row, it seems that the front row of the balcony seats is the shooting position. The view from the special seat where the stage occupies the entire screen, but from there, a bold zoom approaches. The close-up is amazing, with Keith’s waist-up filling the screen, and his fingertips and facial expressions are perfect. The video is of the type that follows the highlights of Keith while keeping the zoom, but the stability is strange. It may be that a tripod is used because there is no camera shake at all, but even so, it is as if it was shot professionally. Moreover, even if you shake it left and right with a bold zoom, it doesn’t shake at all, and the scrolling is extremely smooth. Maybe they actually cut off the edges of the screen, which are slightly blurred, and stabilized it with digital trimming… It is a great job of filming that is so far removed from the audience that such doubts arise. And even the sound is suitable for the beauty of the image. It is not the “sync of a separate recording” that is common these days, but the sound of the filmed video is as it is, but it is extremely beautiful. Although it is not the type to make a fuss about “it’s like a sound board,” the core that reaches straight is thick and thick, and on top of that, the sound unique to the traditional famous venue beautifully colors the sound. What’s even more surprising is the small amount of audience noise. Between songs, you can hear a very small amount of low-pitched voices, but the applause that should fill the venue only spreads like ripples, and is incomparably small to the musical sounds and singing voices. The screen and the sound are all focused on “only the stage,” and it is an immersive image. The final performance depicted with that quality has a wonderful experience that seeps out and overflows. The North American leg of the “MAIN OFFENDER TOUR” is famous for the Boston performance, which was also broadcast by satellite, but it is exactly the “100% real version” of that video. In fact, this final performance is a show 11 days later (after 8 performances), and if the set is the same, the rich performance is similar. However, the sound that envelops the whole body in a different dimension from the sound board, the stable zoom that feels like looking through opera glasses that are completely different from multi-cameras… If you watch it with VR, which is popular these days, it’s a real image that makes it seem like you can experience the actual scene.
