Description
This concert was special! The first encore, “Over the Rainbow,” was praised by the media as the best performance in Keith’s solo history, but who would have expected that an unexpected ending was waiting at the very end? Keith held relatively many solo concerts in 1983, and at the end of the European tour, he only performed three shows in Switzerland, Sweden, and the Netherlands. This is the first two-disc set of the final show, October 23, 1983, at the prestigious Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Netherlands, recorded in high quality sound with careful mastering by the label! According to the reviews of experts at the time, Keith started slowly and somewhat hesitantly. After a while, he completely blended into his own music and delivered a wonderful performance that boasts one of the best contents of his solo performances. Keith has also often performed “Over the Rainbow,” a famous song written by Edgar Yip Harburg and composed by Harold Arlen, which was sung by Judy Garland in the 1939 musical film “The Wizard of Oz” and has since been covered by many artists, but his performance of this encore was particularly moving. I would like to mention that this concert was very special… and the greatness of this concert was also praised by many critics, but in the silence before the notes of the second encore “I Wish I New” following “Over the Rainbow” (or during the first notes), the click of a camera reached Keith’s ears. As you know, taking pictures was prohibited at Keith’s concerts. Keith looked at the audience and asked, “Was that a camera?” In response, some fool in the audience played “Jingle” on a harmonica, as if to mock Keith. Keith got up and walked off the stage, never to return… Live at Concertgeboue, Amsterdam, The Netherlands October.23.1983 EX – AUD Rec 2021 Original Remaster 105 min Disc 1 1. Part 1 2. Part ? 2.
