Description

The 2017 JOURNEY Japan tour, which was a big hit with the world’s first complete reproduction of “ESCAPE” and “FRONTIERS”. A superb stereo soundboard album will be released for those who are still suffering from “JOURNEY loss”! The contents are the FM broadcast of the “July 20, 1983 Oklahoma performance”, known as a major staple of the “FRONTIERS TOUR”. Although I said “FM broadcast” here, this work is different from the air checks that are out there. It is a broadcast master recording that has appeared in recent years. In other words, it is the ultimate specification that has been directly converted to CD from a transcription disc before it was put on the airwaves. The quality is no longer a question of “official class”. It is a famous broadcast that reigns as a major staple, and of course there is no dubbing deterioration, there is no distortion of the master, and there is no radio noise. Of course, the super beautiful sound of the official work (there is a lot of groaning in the mix, which is the era) spreads throughout the chest. Although the original is a broadcast LP, it has an analogue feel, but even that contributes to the warmth and beauty, and the mastering does not emphasize the highlights. You can enjoy the natural sound exactly as recorded by the broadcasting station/official at the time. The ultimate quality depicts the world of the “FRONTIERS TOUR”, which reached its peak even in its heyday. The best thing about it is the set list, which is not a perfect reproduction like this performance in Japan, but seven songs from each of the 10 songs on the masterpieces “ESCAPE” and “FRONTIERS”. Super masterpieces such as “Wheel In The Sky” and “Lights” from “INFINITY”, “Line Of Fire” and “Any Way You Want It” from “DEPARTURE”, and “No More Lies” by SCHON & HAMMER are scattered there. I thought this year’s set of masterpieces was the ultimate, but the luxury and natural flow of the performance made it overwhelmingly overwhelming. More than the set list, it was the performance itself that made me realize that it was “at its peak!” Even now, JOURNEY is still playing hot music, but their 34-year-old youthful passion is bursting out. Although they are a very skilled band to begin with, they are now in the midst of sweeping the world! They are putting on an invincible rock show. What’s more, the singer is 34-year-old Steve Perry. He is 15 years younger than Arnel Pineda now and he is singing at his best. How can this be bad! …I think I got a little excited. This is a celebration of the world’s first reproduction live performance, which was realized in Japan. Please enjoy the ultimate performance of the super masterpieces to your heart’s content!
