Description
A treasured sound source that includes a rare live performance in New York in March 1975 with Ernie Brooks of the early Modern Lovers and others in good monaural audience recording! Jonathan Richman, who temporarily suspended his activities with The Modern Lovers in 1974, performed at The Kitchen in New York in March 1975 with early member Ernie Brooks and Andy and Jonathan’s Paley Brothers, who later joined the band. Introducing a treasured sound source that includes a rare live performance with a good monaural audience recording! It is recorded directly from the master cassette, and although it is monaural, the sound quality is good for that time, and each part, including the vocals and chorus, is recorded in a very well-balanced manner. Also, pitch deviations caused by the master have been carefully corrected. It’s a shame that the fourth song “Kumbaya” and the ending part of the last song “Roadrunner” are missing, but everything else is completely recorded. The set list is centered around covers, including the Beach Boys’ “Don’t Worry Baby” and Carl Perkins’ rock ‘n’ roll classic “Blue Suede Shoes,” and the Ponytails cover “Born Too Late,” which features two female vocalists, is also excellent. ! And the last song, “Roadrunner”, is a play that is sure to make you agonize over 10 minutes, reminiscent of Velvet Underground! A must-listen for fans! 01.This Little Light Of Mine 02.Rock Island Line 03.Nice Things About The Girl 04.Kumbaya(Incomplete) ~ Good Night Baby 05.Love Can’t Help But Grow 06.Give Her Time 07.Blue Suede Shoes 08.
