Description
A miraculous collaboration concert praised by progressive rock enthusiasts as “the best YES song ever.” The super-excellent multi-camera pro shot has been decided to be released. The miraculous show took place on “Reykjavik performance on November 13, 2013.” However, the owner is not YES. This is a collaboration performance between Jon Anderson and the Icelandic rock band TODMOBILE. You may be thinking, “Why not YES…” or “Is there a rock band in Iceland?”, but please wait a moment. This is really amazing. I don’t know the circumstances behind his participation, but at the time, eight years had passed since John left YES, and he was working at his own pace, working on the sequel to “OLIAS OF SUNHILLOW” and going on mini-tours around the world. I was doing activities. This collaboration was a part of that. And what’s amazing about it is the magnificent ensemble. Dozens of female choruses, strings, and horns lined up on stage to support John’s singing voice. Moreover, it is not a typical orchestral piece. The key element, TODMOBILE, injects a solid rock dynamism, driving a sharp wedge into the grand orchestration with an ensemble that must be big YES fans. The show starts with the famous song “Awaken”, but it is already a highlight. It is originally a masterpiece that symbolizes the grandeur of YES Music, but it is even more majestic and dynamic. It takes a lot of time to build up the dramaturgy, and the catharsis that rushes to the climax is amazing! After that, “Roundabout” remains true to the original and becomes even more spectacular, “State Of Independence” by John & Vangelis is reminiscent of the 1994 orchestrated version, and “Heart Of The Sunrise” is drawn with a sharpness that surpasses even the original YES and ARW. ”, and “Owner Of A Lonely”, which has the same catchy melody but has changed into a heavy and epic symphonic rock. “Heart”…all of which are exquisite versions that you won’t find anywhere else. It was so wonderful that I ran out of notes, but the quality of this work is also super high quality, and it is a multi-camera professional shot. It’s completely official grade…or should I say, it’s a video that has actually been used officially. In fact, it was also included on the bonus disc of TODMOBILE’s album “ULFUR”, which featured guest appearances by John and Steve Hackett. However, this is an extremely rare edition limited to Iceland, and of course it is difficult to obtain even at Eurorock specialty stores these days. The bonus disc contained other songs mainly featuring TODMOBILE, but in this work, it has been narrowed down to only the co-starring parts with John. Even so, it’s wonderful. Overwhelmingly wonderful. YES songs have a grand arrangement that far exceeds the original song, and have a rock dynamism that is on a different level than a mere orchestral performance. Please take a look at “Awaken” at the store. I want you to play solo and ARW and travel the world with TODMOBILE. I want this show to be shown in Japan as well. This is a super-excellent professional shot that embodies the ideals of symphonic rock, so much so that you can’t help but wish for it. Live at Harpa, Reykjavik, Iceland 15th November 2013 PRO-SHOT(50:02) 1. Awaken 2. Roundabout 3. State of Independence 4. Wings of Heaven 5. Heart of the Sunrise 6.
