Description
The February 1, 1971 Stockholm performance was recorded with a stereo soundboard recording that captured the guitar sound beautifully. In addition to pitch correction and noise removal, careful treatment was applied to the entire recording, resulting in an ideal sound that could not be better! The performance content is the same as “JOHNNY WINTER AND LIVE”, and as expected, it is a very energetic performance in the heyday of the band, and because it is in Northern Europe, there is only one authentic blues song, and the raging performance of attacking with rock and roll is truly moving! The album is packed with highlights, including an exquisite ensemble where each member’s playing intersects in a complex way, Rick’s explosive solo on Good Morning Little Schoolgirl (the riffs in the intro and middle are subtly different), impressive bass playing that swells and runs along with the catchy beat, and the signature track Rock’n’Roll Hoochie Koo, which is not included on the album but features Johnny and Rick’s guitars crossing exquisitely in the second half to create a climax. The album is packed with highlights, including Be Careful With A Fool/It’s My Own Fault/Be Careful With A Fool, which feature John’s exquisite playing, using scale-outs to ride the grooving beat and soaring along. Furthermore, the rock and roll medley Great Balls Of Fire/Long Tall Sally/Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On, which can be said to be Rick’s on-stage performance, including a cool instrumental part, features Rick’s raging solo that lasts nearly 20 minutes. In any case, the unique and hot ensemble where the two guitars intersect is a must-listen for fans and non-fans alike! This is a must-have item for fans that packages the live performance in Stockholm on February 1st, which is the same period as the live work “JOHNNY WINTER AND LIVE”, which is a perfect match for “Frenzy Live”, with the most ideal sound possible! 1.
