A rare recording of a super session featuring Richard Hell, Sylvain Sylvain, and Walter Lure, recorded in high-quality stereo audience recording, has been brushed up! After completing his Japan tour from late January to February 1985, Johnny returned to New York and performed consecutive shows at Irving Plaza on April 1, 2, 3, 8, and 13. On the first day, his Dolls-era ally David Johansen and Arthur Cain appeared as guests, but this work records the live performance on April 13, the final day of the consecutive shows, in high-quality stereo audience recording. An incomplete version of the sound source from this day was recorded on the same label’s previously released album “You Gotta Lose,” but this work is a new release as a complete version from a completely different source recorded with sound quality far beyond the previously released version! The sound quality can be said to be of a high-class class for the time, and the vocals as well as each part are recorded with a very well-balanced and clear high-quality sound! In the previously released version, from “Do You Love Me?” on disc 1 to the acoustic set “You Can’t Put Your Arms Around A Memory” on disc 2, “I Wanna Be Loved” and “In Cold Blood” were not included, and “Blank Generation” featuring Richard Hell was incomplete, but this work includes all the songs without any missing parts, and only the last song “Gloria” was missing from the middle part onwards in the source used in this work, so it was supplemented from another source and you can listen to the whole picture of this day without leaving anything out! The opening starts with Sylvain’s MC, and mainly focuses on the numbers from the Heartbreakers era, and Richard Hell joins in the acoustic set last “Hurt Me”, and they also performed “You Gotta Lose”, which was also played by the Heartbreakers when Hell was enrolled!
