I went there in the middle of recording “I Can See Your House From Here,” an unexpected collaboration between two of the best contemporary guitarists, John Scofield and Pat Metheny, who were thrilled by guitar kids around the world. Introducing a 4-disc set that completely records the legendary 2 consecutive performances performed twice by each member, totaling 4 stages over 4 and a half hours! John Scofield, born in 1951, and Pat Metheny, born in 1954, two people of almost the same generation who were at the peak of their careers in both popularity and ability, released their first album in 1994 from Blue Note Records, to which Scofield belonged at the time. December 7th and 8th, 1993, in the middle of recording at New York’s Power Station Studio for the masterpiece album “I Can See Your House From Here,” which they jointly released in December 1993. A total of 4 performances, held twice each at the New York Town Crier Cafe near the studio, were recorded over two days on Sunday, all from the highest quality sound master recorded by the people involved.
