Description

From the 1991 Euro tour by the trio, the performance of Neuchâtel, Switzerland on April 20th is completely recorded as a stereo soundboard sound source from the broadcast master. First of all, it takes place after the release of the album “Que Alegria”, and the members are the same as the album, with Dominic Di Piazza on bass and Trilok Gurz on percussion. The performers also wowed the audience with a variety of patterns from acoustic to electric, from delicate plays featuring acoustic guitars to transcendent plays using MIDI guitars and synths. Then, the complex and strange percussion of Indian Trilok Gurtu, who will become an indispensable presence for McLaughlin, is matched perfectly with Piazza’s precise bass that supports it, and seems to respond to Trilok’s percussion. A must-listen item with an exquisite balance between Dominic’s bass and John’s acoustic guitar. DISC 1 : 01. Belo Horizonte/02. Jozy/03. Are you the one/04. Reincarnation/05. Florianapolis/06.
